John Deere Invests $15 Million in Las Rosas Plant Upgrade, Boosting Production Capacity in Argentina

A multinational corporation to increase plant capacity by 50%

John Deere recently announced plans to launch significant upgrades at its plant in Las Rosas, Santa Fe in April. This investment of $15 million will increase the production capacity of sprayers and seeders by 50%, following a larger ambitious program that the company has been implementing in Argentina over the past decade, with a total investment of over $265 million.

Sergio Fernandez, president of Industries John Deere Argentina, emphasized that this investment is part of the company’s commitment to supporting production and development in the country. The Las Rosas plant has undergone various improvements, including new buildings, painting and assembly line enhancements, as well as upgrades to processes, systems and logistics.

John Deere has been manufacturing in Argentina for more than 65 years and is recognized as a key player in the country’s manufacturing industry. Its production activities are spread across three plants producing a range of equipment including tractors, combines, platforms, engines, sprayers, seeders and carbon fiber bowsprits. The company stands out from its competitors because it produces all the main equipment necessary for the agricultural production cycle in Argentina. With over 3,200 direct employees, an exclusive dealer network and numerous national suppliers, John Deere is a major employer and exporter in the sector.
